So, I'm abroad, about to eat out, when my CGM fails. Luckily I brought a spare. But straight away this one has gone weird, wouldn't activate for hours, then stuck in a whirling "scan sensor" mode. I can read it, but nothing more, and the graphic has become very wobbly, so may have no relation to reality.

I've had very little trouble with Libre, one instance when 3 in a row were faulty, otherwise OK. Now this. Btw, it's been neither hot nor cold. There's no reason for it to have gone off.

Hi Rosie, sorry to hear you're having issues. A few basics (which you may have done). Try turning your phone off and back on. When the readings are erratic, have you compared with a finger prick to see if accurate (my readings go all over the place when on holiday due to routine change). Finally, it may now have settled down, sometimes the sensors take a while (up to 24 hours) to sort themselves out. Hopefully it sorts itself out.

Hi Rosie,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues. (Great that you packed a spare.)
How did the first sensor fail?
Restarting the phone is a good call.
But it also may help if you clear the Bluetooth cache on the phone.
I got a sneaky suspicion your phone could be confused by 2 sensor signals? Especially when previous one’s life hasn’t finished & could still be in BT range of your device languishing in a bin..
