Hi I’m julieclarke I’ve joined to find out more about T2 diabetes

Hi Julie,

I’m pleased you enjoyed your Christmas.

Just to let you know your fasting blood glucose is one you take first thing in the morning before you have eaten or drunk anything.

A bit high, but hopefully we can put Christmas behind us now and get back to normal food.

Today I had fish cakes mashed and baked beans
That sounds delicious.
How were your blood sugar levels 2 hours afterwards?

Unfortunately baked beans (even the no added sugar ones) send my blood sugar levels really high, so I can't eat them any more. Well, I suppose nobody's stopping me, but I choose not to eat them.

How was your blood sugar Julie?

Mine was 8.6 two hours after my meal. Better than Christmas, but still higher than I like.
