Hi I’m julieclarke I’ve joined to find out more about T2 diabetes

Did you make your brownies @julieclarke? I make low carb chocolate brownies now & then, but not very often. I like chocolate but not that keen on chocolate in puddings & cakes. I prefer something like low carb lemon cheesecake or lemon mousse

I’ve noticed you’ve posted quite a bit around the forum on different threads & asked a few questions but haven’t said much about yourself :)

I see you are have T2 diabetes. What kind of food do you eat to help you control your blood sugar? Do you have a favourite food?

If you have any questions that you think our members can help you with, or would like to tell us more about anything you do to help you with your diabetes then you can post here or even start your own thread :)

Type 2 diabetic 21 years, on insulin Novo Mix 30 since 2007 self managing from week 3 of diagnosis. Use intermittent fasting 5 - 6 days a week, try to eat normal balanced diet once per day unfortunately in the evening. Still have potatoes but limit myself to one potato on most occasions. Lots of veg. and protien, Chicken, beef & fish, Use system for eating order of consumption Veg. Protien, finally Carbs. Was put on Mounjaro last August but now struggling with it causing bowel issues, have stopped temporarily until reduced dosage comes through. Have CGM Libra 2+ but have reliability issues with it, 60%+ failure rate usually within 1 or 2 days of applying a new sensor, considering giving it up as a waist of money. Most recent HBA 1C 6.8. Use my meter with true blood test for titrating my insulin dose twice a day. Hope this resume is of any value.
