Hi I’m julieclarke I’ve joined to find out more about T2 diabetes

brown rice will spike levels slightly less high than white (same weight) brown has more fibre, little longer to digest so shouldnt spike as high as white could. Only way to tell if its ok for you, is to measure blood glucose via fingerprick pre meal, alongside later on ~2 hours later and see if levels are ok, 2-3mmol within starting glucose level. Portion size would have effect.
