Good afternoon or Good morning to you all, wherever you are in the world today!

I have a question if I may.

I have a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I was given, on my request, Aripiprazole 5mg, then 10mg. I couldn't fault it, but it made my blood sugar rocket sky high and stay there no matter what. With 2 metformin a day, 60 units of long-acting and short-acting insulin, 6 units if needed, and I am on 15mg Mounjaro once a week, this has truly devastated me about it. Now, I have been taken off it and been put on Risperidone 1mg, which I did take in the day, but was too zombie-fried with no energy, focus or uplift like on Aripiprazole. So I took it at night and woke up feeling like I was in a horror movie, walking backwards, but my blood sugar is still sky-high. Is anyone able to shed any light on what works for them so I can do some research myself? I would be very grateful. Manners and respect to all good people!

You might want to check out the various talks on YouTube, and various interviews by Dr Erin Bellamy who is doing a lot of research into ketogenic diets and mental health

If you are looking into keto diet to help with mental health, please be aware that cutting the carbs drastically may mean your blood glucose will lower enough to need to significantly lower your insulin doses or you may go too low.
Which would be a welcome effect of course, you want to lower your BG without worsening your mental health, but don't get caught by a surprise hypo!
