Hello, I've recently had a lot of inflammation in my face, swollen glands, aches and pains everywhere with a 3 day fever thrown in for good measure. I've tested negative for Lupus but now we are looking at Sjogrens as I do have some of the other symptons (dry eyes and mouth) that I had previously dismised as being partly down to diabetes and partly due to old age creeping up on me.
During this time my sugar has been out of control and I've seen some crazy highs. Now that the inflammation is subsiding, I just had my bloods redone to confirm, my sugar readings are getting back to what they previously were.
I was wondering if anyone else had any of the inflammatory auto immune diseases and what medication they are taking. I was given ibuprofen and antihistamine for the pain and swelling. Obviously no cortisone which is a bummer. I have had five flare ups over the past five years including before being diagnosed with LADA. At the time I was given cortisone and the recovery rate was a couple of days. Now without cortisone it's taken two months for me to start feeling better. I dread the next flare up as this one really knocked me for six. Can anyone give advice. Thanks in advance and wishing you all a beautiful day where you are x
