My GP/diabetic nurse has been on for while to go on to Empagliflozin which I had not decided on but now its changed to Dapagliflozin which I have relented on. I have the meds now but see they have lactose in which I have pointed out (I am lactose intolerant) but told only a small amount so don't worry & see. Any one else been persuaded to go on and how are getting on? Would be good to know before I start taking.

I was put on Dapa without consultation when I was in hospital. They knew I was on a keto diet and still didn't tell me about the need to eat carbs with Dapa. Luckily no ill effects, and once I got home was able to read the info leaflet and so found out. No info on how many carbs, saw GP who wasn't concerned. Diabetes nurse was very concerned! So now I eat a small amount of carbs each day. No way of telling if it's doing any good, no obvious problems apart from the diuretic effects which make life rather challenging.
