Hello to you all,

I first came here as a diabetic newbie several years ago. Have not visited the site for a long time, but it is lovely to see some names I know: Daisy1, Brunneria, Bluetit1802… Amazing to see you all still here and still very active supporting members on the site. What a commitment! Thank you.

I’m a T2 diabetic, my levels are pretty unstable - always have been.

Am about to start the 15 day free trial of Freestyle Libra. I guess there are a lot of members who also use this… looking forward to it arriving.

Hi, nice to hear from you, I thought the libras were free anyway… or is that depending on country?
 
Libres are usually available in England on prescription for type 1 diabetes, and for those with type 2 who use both fast and slow acting insulins.

Other type 2 s who choose to self fund can do so with an exemption from VAT.
 
Yes, Lakeslover, I'm doing the 15 day free trial, self funded. My diabetes has never been stable and I just wondered if I might get any benefit from watching my days carefully and making any changes to try to improve things. We'll see!
