Returning to UK with EU licence

T1 I swapped my UK licence a number of years ago for a Spanish one

They are not anal like DVLA!

If I come back what's the process?

Can you clarify your status?
You had a 3 yr medically restricted license and you let it lapse because you've been out of the country?
 
No I had a normal full license was not diabetic before I left UK. Evening swapped it for a Spanish one, the are not diabetic issues there getting a license, but coming back to the UK it seems there are a lot of hurdles and I don't know where to start!
 
So is your original licence technically still valid?

Do as much as you can on-line, it's much faster.
DVLA will probably want your UK doctor's name. Do you have a doctor here?
 
Thanks, I don't know if it's a simple convert back to old UK version. I don't have a GP or endocrinologist yet was thinking of going private to speed things up that said I'm not back in the UK yet
