I have had texts and now a letter from my Dr's re getting a CGM
to be honest I don't have a modern phone to read it so it would be a waste if time surely ?

To be perfectly honest if it was suggested to me to get one I think I wouldn't do it
It's just that I have had some horrible comments about being diabetic so now I do want I can to keep it quiet. I think they are brilliant things but not just for me.

Hi,

If it’s any help..?

I appreciate keeping the D on the QT. (Went underground with it as a kid & in my teens.)
I wear my sensor on the inside of my arm tucked just under a tee shirt sleeve & it’s only been commented on twice. In the years I’ve worn them.
Once was my mum? (She has Alzheimer’s.) I told her it was the security tag from when she stole me from the baby shop..”

On the subject of smart phones. Older second hand refurbished phones can be procured on a budget from reputable dealers.
People are trading in perfectly good devices for the next newest model all the time.

If you are worried about needing internet connection the Libre app don’t need it.
You could just set the phone for calls & have it use WiFi off you home router?
Then it should upload data from the app to a secure account you set up with your doctor or nurse.
To be frank. My specialist just looks at the app on my phone when I see him?
