All of the employers I've had been really good about my diabetes.
One of them even use to turn a blind eye to my 3 month check-ups
when it came to the my attendance bonus, which I though was
really good of them.

Hi Alison,

Any employer who discriminates against an employee because of diabetes (with the exception of the armed forces and one or two others) is asking for a whole load of trouble. If they dismiss someone, or make life at work so difficult that the person feels they have to leave (known as constructive dismissal) then the financial penalties that can be (and usually are) imposed by industrial tribunals can be collossal.
