Blood sugar levels - many lows - Punp 750G

Ok. It’s just that if you were to make correction boluses in addition to the SmartGuard corrections it may just contribute to your lows. I must admit that when I’ve rarely reached very high levels I have bolused myself to try and assist SmartGuard, with the inevitable nosedive soon after. So I...

Blood sugar levels - many lows - Punp 750G

Was the bolus at 9.45ish a correction bolus, or was it for some carbohydrate intake?

    NHS text

I also went for my bloods test last week at hospital prior to my telephone consultation this week - now reappointed to just before Christmas. I can’t see anything on the NHS App and I don’t expect to hear any results unless I ask. I wonder if I will be needing another HBA1c prior to my new...

Blood sugar levels - many lows - Punp 750G

I think you’re referring to the M780g. If so, it would be a good idea to go to Delivery settings/Basal Pattern Setup and look at adjusting your night time settings. You might also look at your overall Target setting which if it’s set at 5.5 or 6.1 you could raise it. Any changes you might...

HbA1c over the years and what my treatment plan was!

My hospital team has recently referred me to the following options: https://www.medtronic-diabetes.com/en-gb/insulin-pump-therapy/minimed-780g-system https://www.omnipod.com/en-gb/what-is-omnipod/omnipod-5 https://www.dexcom.com/en-gb...

    Bad Hypo this morning

Really sorry to hear this. It just goes to show that even with some of the best equipment and control we can still come unstuck. Hope you’re soon back on track.

    Medtronic 780g V Tandem tslim X2?

I’m in a bizarre situation. I received the M780 in April as a replacement for my M670 (reservoir design fault) which served me well. It now seems that this is up for renewal in a month’s time as Medtronic has to honour the original M670 warranty expiry date. My hospital team have offered me...

    Medtronic smart guard 780g hypos

Hi. Try looking at SmartGuard/SmartGuard Settings. You have a choice of 3 Targets 5.5, 6.1 or 6.7. If it’s set at 5.5 or 6.1 you might want to set it to a higher level. It’s early days yet with your new pump.

Choosing a new pump and CGM

Hi @adamrit. Re your comment about Medtronic supplies. They’re currently low on G4’s due to ‘high demand’ (new to US market) and my last order is delayed. In fairness to them I don’t think they will see anyone run out and I believe they are addressing it.Hopefully nobody will say otherwise...

How to sleep with a pump?

I sleep with mine in my pyjama top pocket which works for me, but some people might find it uncomfortable.

    Medtronic 7 day infusion sets

I’m very pleased to learn the Extended Sets are cheaper for you in the US and that you will be changing to them.

    Medtronic 7 day infusion sets

Medtronic refer to their Extended Sets being made from ‘new materials’ which owing to their commercially sensitive & unique nature they won’t disclose.

    Medtronic 7 day infusion sets

I’ve used the Medtronic Quick-Set/Mio and Mio Advance Infusion sets over a number of years and I would always see signs of inflammation at or sometimes before the 3rd day change time. I’ve been using the Medtronic Extended sets now for nearly 3 months and I see absolutely no sign of...

Choosing a new pump and CGM

You seem to be going through a very thorough process which is to be applauded. Do you mind if I ask if you had any luck with the Extended Infusion sets?

    Medtronic guardian sensor 4

For me I still do a couple of checks per day purely for reassurance as I’m still quite new to the G4. If I was to start a long drive or be involved in a lengthy important meeting (thankfully not so often these days!) I would probably do a check just for peace of mind, but it really isn’t...

    Medtronic guardian sensor 4

According to Medtronic there’s no need to calibrate the G4. However, any BG checks you do will calibrate the sensor. After a new sensor has ‘warmed up’ you should ‘Check BG’ also if and when you get ‘High/Low’ alert messages. As has been suggested by another forum member (@Nicola M) I tend to...

    Medtronic 7 day infusion sets

Unfortunately, you would need to use the dedicated Extended Reservoirs, but I think it would be a great idea to refer to Medtronic and request some samples.

    Medtronic 7 day infusion sets

I’m in the UK so I don’t see the costs as it’s all done through the NHS. If you consider the extended use then that should help to offset costs. I did ask Medtronic if I could refill the same reservoir (designed for 7 days) if and when it needs a top up, but they advised me to refer to my...
