I already take a big multi vitamin and omega 3 every day and I'm eating healthier than I have done for 10 years. I know that I'm so much fitter than I was before the my diagnosis - but honestly today it doesn't feel like that. Off to Wales tonight for half term week - so hoping that does me good.

That's a screen cap from MySugr - I use it too and would highly recommend it. There's a free version or you can upgrade - but the free version is still excellent. The clearest graphics I've seen.

Not swum for two days as one ear was sore - I thought a couple of days off and it would clear up. Much worse end of yesterday and overnight so I checked on the NHS website and it says see your GP for medication or it can last weeks! Honestly - if it's not one thing it's another at the moment!

5.1 - had a sore ear for a few days (all that swimming) - much worse end of yesterday and over night. Now hurts to eat and I can't lie down on that side. So back to the drs again this morning. Honestly - I've turned into a wreck. At least the blood sugars are behaving.

5.2 - quite a foggy morning out there today - I'm sure it will clear up later. Assessment went OK yesterday - now I'm on the waiting list for CBT

On usual morning walk today - one boot felt rather uncomfy. Had a look when I got home and I've worn right through the sole. RIP favourite boots - will have to go and buy a new pair today instead of swimming!

4.6 this morning. Have an assessment with the talking therapy people this afternoon - very nervous about that. Now taking citalopram for the anxiety too.

4.7 after running g high all day yesterday. Been awake for hours checking on friends who were at the Arena last night - thankfully all safe. But such a dreadful act.

@May2017 It's a huge change in your life - I do find some people on this board are very dismissive. The first time I posted (about myself - I actually joined and posted about my Hubby 7 years ago) someone told me "I can offer no sympathy - I enjoy life too much as a diabetic" - charming I...

Thank you @callyandy - I made a long list, and got through the apt without crying which was more useful than the sobbing I did last week. Signed off for 3 more weeks (one of those is half term) and seeing her in 2 weeks time. Have got citalopram tablets to start and an initial apt with the...

Hi May - I was diagnosed in April and am really struggling with anxiety at the moment (only partially due to the diabetes - mostly it's my caring role and work) I think you need to be really gentle with yourself as it can be a horrible shock. Do post lots on the forum though - it's a big help. :)

Our alarm goes off at 5.30 as Hubby has a long drive to work and has to be there by 7am. I usually test after I've sorted out his food and meds for the day and he's just headed out of the door. I do test later on weekends and holidays :)
