    How do you get on with Lantus?

    I find hormones dull my insulins at different times in the month, and my basal n bolus insulins can crash into each other n cause dips for me every mid morning. But these patterns are consistent for me, I quite like Lantus. Haven't tried levimir.

    Dafne, saved-my-sanity. Absolutely. Introduced me to the idea that all our different bodies will set their own guidelines and patterns! A relief. In reality, you gotta have a weighing scales by your side when there's new food on the menu...seems easier to just eat fruit, vegetables and breakfast...

    Are you taking a background/basal insulin? Do you happen to know at what hours it's working at it's strongest? I wonder is the fast acting insulin crashing into the action of the background insulin?
