    Anemia and possibly ceoliac

I've maybe picked her up wrong she said my number should be between 30 and 100. But I'm not good with numbers so I may have remembered incorrectly. I was told it was just a blood test I needed for diagnosis will I need these further tests then?

    Anemia and possibly ceoliac

Thanks for pointing that out I hadn't realised that would affect the test! I'll put my gluten free bread on hold for a bit!

    Anemia and possibly ceoliac

I think mainly the anemia as I don't have heavy periods and eat meat so she is thinking I'm not absorbing the nutrients is what I'm taking from it anyway. I also suffer from depression, aches and pains, fatigue, toilet troubles and uncomfortable after eating certain foods. I think there is a...

    Anemia and possibly ceoliac

Hi guys so 2 months ago I was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia and started on ferrous fumarate. I had repeat bloods done today and seen my GP. My levels have only risen slightly from 9 to 13 (these are the only numbers I remember and not sure what the reference range is). My GP thinks I may...

    Morning correction/basal dosing

Hi everyone hope you are all having fab weekends [emoji5] Have to say I've been doing really well lately and have managed to get my A1c down. Now I have one issue that I still need to resolve and that is my mornings. When I seen my consultant on Tues I was telling him that my bg remains stable...

    Advice re recording bgs

Thanks @helensaramay but I'd personally prefer it hand written so I can review it myself and adjust my insulin etc as and when. I sometimes wait 6-12months between clinic apps. If I was using only my meter it would be difficult to note pre bolusing etc. I'm just not very technically savvy lol...

    Advice re recording bgs

Hi again. So I've been trying to get control over my bg and as I also have dyscalculia I'm finding it hard to record in a way I can clearly understand patterns etc. I've been using the DAFNE diary but it doesn't have enough room (for example if I'm pre bolusing each meal/recording...

    Menstruation (q for the ladies)

Thanks @Juicyj and @catapillar I've definitely noticed I've been more insulin resistant these past couple days. Will make a big effort to record properly and hopefully I can notice my patters [emoji5]

    Menstruation (q for the ladies)

Hi everyone. Without going into too much detail I have basically been on hrt for 15 years and have not had periods. My consultant is looking at the possibility of ivf for my husband and I (with egg donation) so has changed my hrt to another form which will give me a 'hormonal period'. This is...

    Patient access

Sort of along the same lines here but when my practice nurse at the health centre takes my blood for the diabetic clinic they say the results go straight to the clinic and not back to them. Does this not seem strange? I'd of thought my GP would have details of all my blood tests.

    Pain and high bgs

I developed shoulder/arm pain last weekend and it's gradually gotten worse. So bad that I'm in tears at times. I will try to get an emergency GP app next week but in the meantime the pain is raising my bg by a good few points continously. Should I keep correcting or increase my basal? I'm taking...

    Pre bolusing and Fiasp

Hi everyone. I've done so well lately and managed to get on top of the snacking that was keeping my numbers up. My average reading has gone from 11 to 7. My main problem now is that in the morning especially I need to pre bolus quite a bit in advance. 1hour in the morning and 30mins at other...
