Got approval for a pump yesterday,after over 50 years of injections,any advice would appreciated on pump types and what to expect.

After over 50 years of injections I have got approval for my pump,the wait now begins!

I have approx 2 a week but this is due to my very tight control of my diabetes.I carb count and I am very aware of what I am doing,so, I have total control of what i am doing,so have no worries.

I worked in the construction industry,firstly as a apprentice carpenter and joiner and latterly in a senior management,I have worked all over the world.I have had type1diabetes for over 50 years.I suggest you get off your backside an get to work!

I still use scales to weigh my portions,I have done this for over 50 year and I try not to guess as tend to guess wrongly.

Today I found my first blood/glucose which is a Boehringer-Mannheim meter which I guess is close on 40years old and a unopened box of test strips.So I put some batteries in and miraculously it fired up, in went a coded strip and it recognised the the code,so next a spot of blood and after an age...
