What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I have a recipe on my CMT for ricotta souffle pancakes. I've made them loads of times. I like them for breakfast with streaky bacon and a little of the Skinny Food Co Maple Syrup. They also make a really nice dessert with some berries. [emoji116] dailyyum.com/ricotta-souffle-low-carb-pancakes/

I agree on the KC "pastry." I found it rather bread like and doughy (if that's a word)! I much prefer the mix I worked out previously. Okay, it doesn't rise (I keep meaning to make time to go through the rough puff process with it), but at least it tastes like pastry.

@MrsA2, maybe your luck is changing? I remember when Tesco and Sainsburys used to sell double yolkers. I had visions of eggs being X Ray'd before being packed. 14 January - bed 7.7 FBG 7.2. I got back just after midnight. I had spent a while along the road with both dogs and 2 of the cats, all...

Thankfully, I don't like cashews. Now almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts, that's a different matter.

These little gems. They don't cause me any problems, and are fine so long as my carbs are otherwise low. I tend to have 4 raspberries with one.

I had to send that to my wild swimming DIL. She has been known to have ice baths in their inflatable pool, but I'm not sure her swimming group would do this! Definitely full-blown nuts (maybe dedicated).

He was quite pleased with himself. I hope he's finally come to the conclusion that not reacting is the way to go and just demonstrate how wrong they are. He never uttered a word to her afterwards. To be fair, he didn't need to, and I suspect she won't be claiming she'll always be better than him...

The DD meals are pretty delicious, but I do have a habit of "adapting" them a little. Usually with extra veggies. They also have a tendency to be very creamy, so much as I like creamy sauces, I tend to reduce the cream content.

Today 10 January - bed 7.2 FBG 7.8. Boys are here today for dinner. It was a great success despite it being a DD recipe (with some additions for them) B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast. One with coronation chicken, one with egg mayo. Benecol dairy free. L. Nothing. Busy sorting out dinner...

Seems we have more in common than the same birthday [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51] I am usually OK with certain Chinese meals, but this was a new Chinese, and obviously, there was something there in a normally "safe" dish. I'm going to remake the garlicky pak choi myself this week, with sesame...

6 January - bed 8.9 FBG 7.7. I still haven't fully recovered from that Chinese meal. @RosemaryJackson - welcome back. @DJC3 - thanks for that. I won't bother checking out the new DD thing, although this morning's email brought with it an invite to reserve a seat at the launch in Stockholm...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I can relate to that. My son and DIL, 2 grandsons, 1 very large dog, 3 cats, plus loads of their belongings, lived with us for 4 months while their new build was being completed. They are less than 1 mile away. Even now, I still have some of their stuff in our attic.
