What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Saturday 30 March bed 8.1 FBG 7.6. Still afflicted by this bug. I did get out, and the youngest grandson came to assist (which he did) because I "wasn't very well." That was the limit of my efforts today. B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with pate. Benecol dairy free. L. 2 mini cheese...

I do my own Marie Rose, too. Mayonnaise, dash of double cream, squeeze of tomato puree, paprika to season, sometimes a dash of brandy. If you want more heat, a few drops of tabasco. Mayo - a couple of tablespoons usually does it. All you do is pop it in a bowl and mix until combined.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Friday 29 March - bed 8.9 FBG 8. The bug is now showing up in the BGs. I was so glad to be able to stay home. Hubby isn't much better. B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY bread with ham and cheesy filler. Benecol dairy free. L. A bit of crustless quiche. D. Salt and pepper squid, santini tomatoes...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It didn't, but at least I got to rest up yesterday. Son & DIL still hadn't fully recovered from it, so they rearranged their meal out again. It's a weird one. It comes and goes. One minute, you feel ok; the next, you just feel odd. Horrible burning throat, headache (coming from the sinuses), and...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Wednesday 27 March - bed 7.9 FBG 7.6. Now the eldest has developed a bug. Still at ours, but the younger one is back at school. I told Hubby soup is called for with all this illness. B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with egg mayo. Benecol dairy free. L. Nothing D. Hubby made lentil soup...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Monday 25 March - bed 7.9 FBG 7.6. Youngest is off school, not surprisingly. He's still running a fever. I collected the eldest after Aqua. I got him into school after lunch, and he stayed put for the whole period. I even managed to get him to the Fort afterwards to buy Guinea hay and birthday...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I've had Peroni 00. I only ever had one on whatever day I had them. It does taste remarkably like the real thing. Sadly, I had to cease their consumption when I had the severe gout attack. Since then, I have only had one last month, thankfully, without reaction. One never did anything to BGs...

Have a lovely break. You deserve a break after the start you've had to the year. Wishing you calm, relaxing time (and decent weather!)

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today, Sunday, 24 March - bed 7.9 FBG 6.7. The youngest grandson has another viral infection. Slapped cheek - it is doing the rounds in the schools. Rash has appeared on his cheeks, so he's not contagious now, but he's probably been spreading it last week when he was OK apart from a cough...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Friday 22 March - bed 7.6 FBG 7.7. This was a very good day. Things went well getting grandson back in school, he's engaging with his teachers, and he was out with his friends for ages after school. I even got him to do a S4 geometry exercise (he's S2), just to prove he could. I didn't tell him...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thursday 21 March - bed 7.7 FBG 7.5. Dropped into the low 5's for most of today. Got grandson to do creative writing today. It was surprisingly good. He has an imaginative mind for sci-fi or futuristic scenarios. His Business assignment was great too - Economics, one of my specialities, but he...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

@filly - we get Mrs Elwood's Haimisha gherkins. Tesco always seem to have them, as do most of the big supermarkets. It does say they should be eaten in a ridiculously short time once opened, but both my DIL and I ignore that. We keep them in the fridge, they're pickled, and we still use them a...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Monday 18 March - so starts another week. Bed 6.7 FBG 6.3. Yesterday's outing was obviously good for the BGs as well. School run for younger grandson, then off to Aqua. Picked up elder grandson afterwards as we had a mountain of work to get through on Google Classroom. Into school after lunch...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Saturday 16 March bed 7.4 FBG 6.9. A chaotic weekend trying to do everything I can't get done during the week due to home schooling. Today was pretty much a write off what with shopping, ferrying Hubby to football and back, and dozing off on an armchair! B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I take cauliflower rice in with me and am fortunate enough that they know me, so they cook that just for me. They do it brilliantly too.
