You can dismantle the applicator (pull the grey bit that the needle sits behind) and pull the needle out, you will need a pair of long nose pliers. Put that in the sharps and recycle everything else. They have taken mine every time
Morning y'all
Bloods doing their usual misbehaving overnight so basal profile decreased most of the night ever so slightly.
Hand over my diabetes to someone for a day hmmmmmm.....maybe to another type 1? BUT we are all so very different that would more than likely end in disaster :)
My meter is connected to my pump so carbs etc get uploaded. I even put in snacks as I can use .1 of a unit of insulin. Doesn't sound like much BUT makes a huge difference.
What meter do you use?
That will depend on what you have eaten! NovoSluggish can take a while to start working once injected. 2mmol isn't a huge increase. Do you test 3 hours after as well?
Hi @Shannon27 I used to struggle for motivation constantly....it wasnt until my stage 4CKD diagnosis that I decided it was time to look after myself properly full time.
You have taken the 1st step which is usually the hardest step to take. I can understand if you think your readings are not...
good moaning all
Hope all the not very well ones feel better soon.....
Hope the people who forgot to take spare lancets do not do it again :)
And to the rest of you well done on staying well etc :)
Well breakfast today was Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and real milk (blue) - 65g may have misjudged them as my bloods dropped around 10am!
Dinner - Beef and horseradish sarnies, packet of hula hoops and frijj milkshake (Tesco meal deal) 123g carbs
And as its friday it will be a chippy tea...
I have a cupboard and the "butter" shelf in the fridge. We needed a new fridge a few years ago and I was looking inside them with a box on Novosluggish pens to measure up the butter holding bits OR as it is known now the Vial storage :)
