Hmmmmmm....Nope. 49 years type 1 now and have heard of so many so called cures are going to be hear in ten years time. As has been said tech will get better and better making T1D easier to live with, as for a cure, it's not going to happen. Will keep on saying it there is no money in a cure

Morning all. Well basal test went well, a few minor adjustments made. The misses has got 2 kittens now and last night they ate my Watlaa watch charging cable....not amused to say the least. Have now gotta try and find a cable to fit

I only learned about basal testing after being on the DAFYDD course (Welsh DAFNE!) around 15 years ago! I have been T1D for 49 years. Never too old to learn hey :)

Problem I got at the mo is I KNOW I am basal testing and can not eat. One of the garage customers just brought chips in and is sat in the MOT waiting part eating them....and I can now smell the sat and vinegar and I want a chip..................or I want a bag of chips

What I really want to know is how/why do people fast!? All I can think of at the mo is food AND how hungry I am :hilarious::hilarious:

@Jaylee Set-up wise they both work pretty much in tandem. I would say 9 out of 10 sensors are pretty close. This one I am on now is being a bit of a t**t to say the least. Fine on Watlaa but a country mile out on X-guess

I have lost my hypo awareness. Currently using Libre and Miaomiao combo to alert me for lows. Also been running higher BGs (around the 8 mark) for the past 10 odd months.....still no hypo awareness.

Basal rate testing I have used this one in the past. I am doing an afternoon basal test today

Are you getting lows often? Have you done a basal test recently?

Good morning. Why are doctors receptionist such hard work? I have just changed doctors and want to add some items onto my repeat script-----easy, I hear you say. Hmmmmmm. Receptionist has asked why I need Tresiba as I am on a pump and do not need long lasting insulin. Had to explain to here...
