Just curious not being antagonistic at all. Where did you get the 12g from? Reading the packet Each lolly weighs 110g and per 100g is 21g or 19g as per nutritional label.

    Low Carb Bread Recommendations

Not really. It goes up by 1.5 mmols at 2 hours but I don’t know how quickly it comes down as I haven’t tested beyond that. I also haven’t tested on its own as usual have butter, cold meat or cheese in a sandwich I think I might try BG 2 hours after eating just the bread

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.6 mmols at 7:30. I’ve stopped the berberine as I’ve been getting a bad pain across my diaphragm and as that’s the only difference in my day-to-day I‘m suspecting that, I haven’t had it or the pain since I stopped taking it on Friday. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone x

Article about SGLT2i, possible actions, possible effects on kidneys. Reviews please!

I’ve just skipped through the posts so not read any in detail yet. But just to add I take dapagliflozin and eat very low carb most of the time. In the beginning I thought taking this drug would give me a bit more carb freedom but ended up with a UTI that lasted 3 weeks - very unpleasant. So now...

    Beginning to feel desperate

There are quite a few YouTube videos to help with low carb on a budget and ‘ketogenic woman’ (just to name one) lives in Canada so she may have some ideas for you for the things you can buy. I think trying your hardest to buy food that aren’t processed is the better way to go. Eggs, cheese, the...

Why have they taken you off linagliptin? Have they offered you anything else? IMO 7s and definitely 9s can cause long term damage. Have you tried to control your BG with low carb?

Fantastic cheeses and where to find them

For Those who like strong cheese Lincolnshire Poacher can knock your socks off depending on where you buy it. I’ve noticed a big difference in strength if I buy it from a supermarket or farm shop. There is a wonderful cheese shop in Lincoln. Maybe a bit too far south for your visit @Antje77 Also...

Diagnosed a few months ago, tired recently, and bloods aren’t great, what blood reading will cause fatigue?

Hi and welcome. If you’ve reduced your carbs you could be down on your electrolytes (magnesium, salt, potassium). This will get better and usually only lasts a couple of weeks until your body adjusts, but you can get an electrolyte supplement (I get mine from Amazon which I dissolve in water)...

    ........aaaaand another one!

Hello and welcome to the forum. You have joined a wonderful and supportive community. You will get lots of information about low carb. It’s good that you have a clued up diabetic nurse, as most (including mine) give out a diet sheet advising carbs with every meal  I think a BG...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.5mmols at 7:45. I had a dreadful nights sleep   @Peanut234 Doesn't matter what time you get up but wash you hands and test within 10 mins of that time. Dawn phenomenon kicks in for most of us and BG starts to rise. Absolutely tipping it down here, looks like we’re going...
