    Insulin pump yay or nay?

    Im actually glad someone else has mentioned the pump as ive been told i need one fitting next year. Now this might so stupid i dont pay for my prescription for the diabetes so having a pump fittted would i have to pay??

    See it would only be a glass of bucks fizz with my christmas dinner and maybe a small white wine when my childs in bed which is about half 8 and that will be it for the day.

    Bit of a stupid question Im not a big drinker anyway aa looking after a two uear old yet i do lile a drink for christmas and new year. Since being diagnosed type one september ive been scared to touch alcohol as dont know what affect it will have on my bloods. Any else feel like this??

    Just when i have a really bad day if i have hypos or just no energy and people ask whats wrong they make out other people have it worse then me its like i make it up if that makes sense??

    Yeah when i found out was a big shock and felt very alone as im the only one in the family to have it so had no one in my shoes to talk too,people on this forum have been great and very friendly which as helped me feel more relaxed about diabetes so really glad i joined now :)

    Oh right thats good to know think the bra idea is good at least then my son wont want to mess if he doesnt see it. And ok so got to test more think im getting used to that about now,cant thank you enough @dtennant9 really put my mind at rest and nice to know im not the only one ☺

    Is it hard to sleep woth the pump??and where do you put it under clothing last thing i want id my son spotting it. Also i try my best with the carb counting so hopefully ill get that right before having the pump attached to me,do u still have to check.you blood like you do.with injections??

    Sick day!

    How do you managd to keep sugars as normal as possible though when being sick as obviously no one wants to eat being bad. This is one thing i dread as ive recently been diagnosed as type one and hate the thought of being ill scares me as i dont k ow what effect it will have on me?
