I swore about it on Facething when I saw it, a milkshake to me is a small drop of vanilla essence and half a pint of semi skim milk blitzed in a blender and that'd be a rarity.

Diabetes Awareness Month: David no longer takes insulin thanks to Low Carb Program

Shouldn't there be a 'T2D' in the title when referring to a diabetic coming off insulin? Language matters....

Good morning y'all :) my Libre said low on waking but a finger stick said 4.1 and I feel ok, the sensor's got 48 hours left, pre bolussing from a red line's a little counter intuitive but I've risen to 5.7 since so I'm good to eat :) World diabetes day tomorrow....

I'm having a one of many duh-oh moments, bloods are steady at 7.9 so no lunch other than a stove top coffee, but something's been nagging away in my mind to do with my diabetes, and then the penny dropped I needed a lunchtime basal injection, as I say, duh-oh :p

I think I mostly get away with the porridge as I've time on a morning to inject and wait till the insulin's working which takes around 40 minutes, and once I've eaten the porridge I'll wait a while before eating the second course, seems the insulin can handle the spike better that way, which...

    Regular moderate exercise log

Swimming then gymming, 1200m breaststroke in 30 mins and then legs in the gym, only up to 100kg squats at the heaviest but that was enough, single leg extensions and curls then both legs together heavier and calf raises to finish, I got out of the pool wiith a Libre arrow straight down at 6.9 so...

If I eat a take away naan I call it 60g carbs but would expect to need a second jab after eating, donner meat's a minefield, some appears to have few carbs but others I find to be carb heavy, some curry houses work better than others I find, avoid 'shiny' looking sauces as I believe that's from...
