    Newly diagnosed

Hi DCop I am in a similar position to yourself. I would agree it can be difficult and challenging. It takes time adjust and get used to. Well done on being in charge of your glucose levels most of the time. I was diagnosed as LADA about 10 years ago and every so often I question whether I am in...

    Dexecom vs Libre question

Good Morning Carolyn81. I am a dexcom one user. I personally have found it more accurate the Libre 2. There was an update last year and you can now calibrate dexcom one which for me is an extremely useful feature Good luck

Omnipod, not too sure if it is an issue, but seems like an issue!

Hi Adeel M I am on Omnipod user. I do not play sports but I can imagine that your pod site would be uncomfortable. When I have my pod on my leg I am much more aware that it is there when walking. My only suggestion is to use some form of support. There are various type’s available online. I use...

Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

Morning barrym I use Omnipod so I record my carbs and insulin on my pdm. Data recorded by dexcom is automatically recorded in clarity and also diasend / Glooko. As a CGM I presume it does it all the time. I am not that tech minded so I may be wrong on this. You link to diasend / Glooko when...

Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

Hi barrym I changed to dexcom one as I was experiencing similar issues to yourself. Based on my experience (approx 9 months) I have found it much more accurate and reliable. Yes I have some issues with dexcom 1 but far less than with Libre 2. Very frustrating. Good luck

    Dexcom one app compatibility ?

Hi gogobroom I am a Dexcom One user. I do not think you can use the Dexcom 6 app with Dexcom One. Probably best to contact Dexcom to clarify this. If you get Dexcom One on prescription it might be possible to get a Receiver from Dexcom which you could use instead of your phone Good luck with this

    Working in healthcare with t1d

Hi EO9 I would concur with the previous posters. In the first instance contact your University. There should be reasonable adjustments put in place for when you go on placement in much the same way as when you are sitting exams. My background is as a Lecturer in Nursing. One of my roles was...

    A new diagnoisee

Hi sykwastaken Just thought I would check in with you and see how things are with you today. It is not easy to come to terms with all that having Type 1 Diabetes entails. Please ask as many questions as you wish. There are many forum members including myself who will be more than happy to...

    Rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes

Hi Pat Mitchell-Firth I am in a similar position to yourself. I have significant arthritis in my hands. I have Type One Diabetes. Both Type One and RA are autoimmune conditions so it is not unusual for them to go together When my arthritis is playing up my sugars are usually higher. In...

    A new diagnoisee

Hi #skywastaken You have had a lot to take in since your diagnosis. It takes time to come to terms with. Your decreasing insulin dosages could be due to you still producing some of your own insulin. This is known as the honeymoon period and can go on for some time. As to how you developed Type...

Very frustrating. I can understand it is hard to remain positive. I was told at my appointment that I had been approved for a pump. Hope you hear soon.
