Is red lentil pasta better than whole wheat?

Thanks!, I will have to try the Waitrose one....I did weigh and one serving out which was 75g and to be honest I was quite full so next time I’ll at least take a third away as it was extremely filling....at the moment I’m too trying to have as much variety in my diet and not to spike blood sugar...

Is red lentil pasta better than whole wheat?

From doing a lot of research I’ve read that lentils, beans and pulses are better carbs as it has high fibre which doesn’t spike blood sugars, I saw at work we do a red lentil fussili, all it contains is red lentils and water and has 19g protein per portion, 44g carbs, 0.9g fat... Is this a much...

Does this seem like a balanced diet

Everyone is just different I guess, I don’t tend to eat a lot of sweet things or carbs, I don’t find I crave carbs but if I sometime fancy brown rice or wholewheat pasta I will have some but no more than half a cup, I find I feel more satisfied and don’t feel like I’m gonna Raid all the carb...

Does this seem like a balanced diet

That’s great, and well done on just getting it reversed! I eat some of the similar things to you, on occasion I will eat potatoes and wholewheat pasta but never a huge portion and it doesn’t spike my bs.

Does this seem like a balanced diet

I do like dark chocolate, but usually 70%, don’t usually like any higher, some days I’ll have dark choc someday I’ll have a little normal milk choc, I don’t tend to get more cravings for it, I usually have it after dinner and I feel satisfied. I do check my bs to ensure I don’t get huge spikes...

Does this seem like a balanced diet

Unfortunately no as I was out and didn’t have my meter with me, but I have had similar things before with the sameish amount of carbs, sugar and fat and my meter has never gone over 2 mmol from my pre eating reading, and I usually have it after my dinner and all seems okay. I’m really trying...

Does this seem like a balanced diet

I don’t do ultra low carb as from checking my metre my body seems to handle carbs okay like brown rice, Quinoa, wholegrain bread - aslong as I have a reasonable portion

I don’t chocolate like that everyday, I usually have smaller bars compared to the standard size, but I just fancied one whilst I was out. Surely a one off doesn’t hurt?

Does this seem like a balanced diet

From my previous diet I feel it’s a lot more balanced, I know veggies and fruits are key with healthy carbs, proteins and fats, and of course I feel there’s nothing wrong with a little chocolate now and then or gaining something uoubdo t usually have is okay in moderation

Does this seem like a balanced diet

Thanks, no it doesn’t go over 7mmol... it’s usually between 6.5-6.9 1-2 hrs after meal....I always thought aslong as it’s no higher than 2 mmol after meals it’s a good sign your body is adjusting to it? And when I’ve looked at charts on a diabetic vs non diabetic, a non didactic levels 2hrs...
