    OOPS!

I'll call them again tomorrow, I'm sure they get fed up of me calling in! I avoided pancakes as would have put golden syrup or sugar on them so stayed out of the kitchen whilst everyone else enjoyed making and eating them. I had a lovely chicken salad instead.

    OOPS!

My levels are all over the place again and I'm finding it hard to keep "happy" I've been taken off the Novarapid and now on metformin with Levimir to see how I go. New blood tests were done on friday and I've been told that it could take a month to get the GAD results back to determine if I'm...

Shiba - I think my background dose is too high too, I'll be calling clinic tomorrow to discuss reducing it, I can't do it myself as too new to this but slowly starting to understand what should and shouldn't be happening. Dancer - I'll ask about half unit pens at my next consultation, I'm so...

    New Type 1 Diabetic

Thank you so much for your reply, everything you have stated makes sense and I'm beginning to get back to "normal" I'm no longer as bitter as I was immediately after diagnoses and discovering that I can still have a bit of chocolate when I want it. Just need to be able to drive again so I can...

    New Type 1 Diabetic

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'll keep plodding on with the 3.5 glasses though walking with them on makes me dizzy, driving would be impossible too for now. I'm not tearful anymore just frustrated as no driving means no working but I'll get back to it soon.

    New Type 1 Diabetic

I did thank you, the diabetic team helped me to plan my dosage to match my meal for yesterday and I managed to stay within my levels. Just need the blurred vision to improve so I can return back to driving and work next week. Missing the gym and swimming, not confident enough to go out for a...

    New Type 1 Diabetic

Thank you for your reassurance, I seem to have gained some control but now having hypos instead of hypers so need to introduce snacks in between meals which is annoying as I cut them all out before being diagnosed in order to lose weight. Still have blurred vision too so time to book an...

The new meter is exactly the same, it's set up and connected to diasend too. I have been refereed to a local group for guidance and training but when they called and found out I was still under the hospital they were unable to offer me the support. Once I'm released from the hospital I can apply...

Thank you for sharing, I really so hope it's less than 3 months but will have to let my body do it's own thing in it's own time. Thank you so much for your very informative response. I've not looked at HMRC yet to see if I'm able to get tax relief, I'm presuming if I can't work I don't get paid so no earnings to declare but will check this out with my accountant and will ping her an email first thing tomorrow morning...

    Diagnosed and feeling low

I've tried to add to my profile but for some reason it won't let me add my insulin, it's listed but an error message pops up. I'll try on a different browser when my Hubby gets home, he's more techy than me.
