    Feeling hypo but I'm not

Good to know I'm not the only one that's experiencing this! I will definitely keep a closer eye on when exactly it's happening to see if mine are because of quick changes too! Thanks moonstone :D

    Feeling hypo but I'm not

When I have a hyper I usually don't feel much until my mouth starts to get really dry and I get thirsty and need to go to the toilet more than usual. When I get this I start feeling shaky and get that 'nervous' feeling in my stomach and that tingly feeling in my upper legs that I always get...

    Feeling hypo but I'm not

They are usually between 5 and 14, I'm still trying to get it under control better. I have experienced false hypos when I had really high readings for a while but this doesn't seem to be the same. I still get it even with better readings. Feeling hypo but I'm not

Hi all I was just wondering if anybody else has this problem. We all know how you feel when you have a hypo. Now, I have noticed that sometimes when I feel like I have a hypo, my bloodglucose is actually around 12 or 13. Has anybody else noticed anything like this? It always seems to be...

    Giving blood

When I tried to give blood two months ago (and was rejected, of course) the nurse did tell me that they were looking into making it possible for diabetics with T1 to give blood in the near future. I hope that's true, I was so disappointed when I found out I couldn't give blood.

iPhone, Android and Blackberry diabetes apps

Re: iPhone Apps - any recommendations If anyone is still looking for an app that does all this, I'm using one that is called Insulin Pro at the moment. It does cost 1.79 but I'm really liking it so far. It lets you set different carbohydrate ratios and correction factors for morning, afternoon...

Meeting other people with type 1

Hi Sam, Thanks for your reply! I will definitely ask about the support groups next time I go to hospital, never actually thought about that before but it sounds like a good idea! I would be interested in both virtual and physical meetings. Maybe more physical though, also because I'm still...

Meeting other people with type 1

Hi all, I'm new to the forum (nice to meet you all!) but I'm definitely not new to having diabetes. I've been diagnosed with type 1 8 years ago, I was 14 at the time. Back then, I didn't fully realise what having diabetes really meant, and I have to admit that my mum was a lot more upset about...
