I guess by normal I mean just regular food. Cottage Pie, pasta, sandwiches etc... And the occasional treat like a burger or pudding. Generally Iike to eat healthy food - keep the snacks to a minimum.

    10g carbs raising sugar.....

I'm pretty spot on with my ratios and used to pre bolusing before meals. I think weetabix just doens not work with me! I'm ok with potatoes cooked all ways but still limit to 30 -40g per meal. Rice is so ok, pasta a bit more tricky but manageable.

    Type 1 Morning Insulin Resistance

I take 6 units of Abaseaglar in the morning and 12 units at 6pm ( approx.) I used to get high readings in the morning but couldn't up my basal as I would go hypo in the night. Split does works well for me. My BS also goes up in the morning even without food so I have to take insulin to keep it...

    Bread....

No I dont crash before. I have eaten a white roll for lunch and I dont get the spike, hence why I thought the low GI breadmight be the reason.

    Bread....

Sometimes if I am running a bit late I will grab a sandwich for lunch. I generally try to stay away from it. I always take the right insulin to match my carb but i always spike too high even after 3 hours. I go for granary or wholemeal with a chicken or ham filling. I was thinking it could be...

Sudden Really High Blood Sugar In The Morning

Yes I have tested overnight and it may go up by 1 or 2 mmol but this is over 10mmol! I'm hoping it's period related. I am super insulin resistant in the morning which also doesn't help I will try a low carb dinner and no snacks in the evening and see where I am tomorrow morning.
