So my last hba1c was 37...im cured according to the tv programme. ....funny my consultant didnt mention that to me...i must ask at next months appointment
Oh ..ok...im not sure what u mean by medicare...but if dvla requirements are the same as england then u need 3 months worth of readings...min 2 a day...and when driving...a medical by your gp if u not had one in last 5 years and an independant consultant to look at your meter and ask questions...
It always amazes me when watching all the medical 'documentaries ' on tv how they can always manage to find plenty of GPs etc to be there....no wonder its so difficult ģetting an appointment to see one
Yes you were a silly boy...lol...keep a packet of glucoze tabs in your pocket at all times...now that will go down as you needing assistance when having a hypo....just thinking of your driving licence. ...be careful u dont do it again...take care
Maybe this site should have a permanent notice displayed somewhere...home page /log in page advising members to seek medical help locally in case of emergency rather than posting here first...problems can be discussed at a later time...maybe it already does ..theres a lot of info here
I came off ramipril as it was always causing me pancreas pain...the consultant got out his medicines book and looked it up and said it was known to give this effect...no pancreas pain since i stopped it...he put me on amlodopine instead. ..lol..doesnt seem to give me any problems that ive noticed
Yes chichester is nice, we were born and grew up in Eastbourne, moved away 11 years ago for work, but still get down to see relatives etc when we can...miss the beach and the rocks around beachy head
I rarely drink alcohol these days. ..just special occasions. .but when i do my mind always flashes back 25 years ago to my friends brother...had been out drinking...did not recognize he was having a hypo...sadly passed away...
Maybe it depends where you live...as per usual...ive heard about doctors prescribing gym memberships etc in the press but ive never seen any posters etc about it.at any health centre etc...i asked the dr once...no no no we dont do that....our local council run leisure centre was giving free...
Thank you for your comments...and we are not here to vent or criticise any one...we wish them all the best in the management of thier diabetes whatever type
