I won't be taking them anyway, I've managed thus far with a bit of Gaviscon when needed which isn't often.

I had the endoscopy today, not an experienced I want to repeat without anaesthetic. Mild duodenitis in the anterior bulb is all that was found. Biopsy taken to rule out helicobacter Pylori infection. Nothing sinister found or suspected. Discharged with instructions to use Gaviscon or PPI...

I will eat as much fat as I want!!!

I was referring to processed fat. I am fully aware of the benefits of natural healthy fat. I did say man made.

    Hit a wall regarding food

I hate eating and do it only when I need too to survive. 3 or 4 meals on rotation works for me with 2 or 3 desserts. In the beginning I used to overthink it all and stress that I could no longer eat **** and how would I survive but the reality is that all of my metabolic markers have improved...

    9.4 after fasting 24 hours?

Jason Fung explains this well. Your liver is dumping glucose frantically in the absence of food. As you extend the fast or fast more often there will be less in storage to dump thus the impact becomes less significant. It is neither good or bad, it just means you have more work to do. Fasting...

I dont see that sedation will help me that much, im just going to have to man up and get it done rather than prolong it. I spoke to the receptionist at my doctors earlier and she had it done without sedation and basically said if I can do it anyone can.

I won't be sedated unfortunately. Commitments for the rest of that day dictate that it's not an option.

Just got the official consultant report from my scans today. Kidneys, Liver, Spleen, gallbladder, pancreas and Aortic section all appear normal in size and structure and nothing raising any suspicion found. Given that all of my many blood tests have all come back within normal parameters too I...

    Comfort food

I don't comfort eat either, infact eating is a chore for me which I would rather avoid until absolutely necessary. The stress of worrying over BG puts me off constantly. I now see food as nutrition and not entertainment and have a few set meals that I eat on rotation as I know exactly what they...

Beta cell function improves after bariatric surgery study.

Completely understand. I have the opposite. I can lose weight easily but gaining after overshooting my target significantly through not tracking the loss is proving really difficult. Especially without increasing carbs.
