LOL likewise, but a screen full of purple, green and red numbers doesn't tell the full story. But yes agree with a consultant getting down to the knitty gritty is probably not worth while/good use of time - for a DSN though....... thanks for all your input guys - maybe I'm not going mad...

New to insulin injections, can you explain this confusing BG result?

Typical insulin dependent diabetic scenario you have there - no 2 days are the same! glad your levels have bottomed out so to speak. Has anyone mentioned LADA to you?

Keep being denied the Free Style Libre prescription

"1. People with Type 1 diabetes OR with any form of diabetes on hemodialysis and on insulin treatment who, in either of the above, are clinically indicated as requiring intensive monitoring >8 times daily, as demonstrated on a meter download/review over the past 3 months OR with diabetes...

Keep being denied the Free Style Libre prescription

As of April there is a national criteria for getting the sensors on prescription, BG testing 8 times a day is one of those criteria which you were doing, however there is also a section on self funders which you are now, if your hba1c has improved during your use of it that will help your cause...

Why does a clinic use diasend to monitor patients? The data it presents, in my opinion, is disjointed and uninformative. I use the Libre blood glucose meter (I don't use the sensors) but I log BG (obviously!) carbs & injections (both basal and bolus) - but using diasend it is impossible to see...

Libre denied :arghh: no great surprises there then, but I'm not sure if my 'doc' ever goes home, she called me on sunday afternoon(!), and had previously called me late tuesday evening as well - she certainly puts the long hours in. been a steady weekend. I also echo Knikki's comment above...

@WuTwo when will we find out what we are crossing our fingers (and toes) for?! Hope it all pans out. BG's have been good of late (work on the other hand.....!), 6.6 last night 6.1 this morning. Not heard from the Doc regarding the Libre hopefully next week then. TGIF!

    Help with changing insulin

Just be careful going back to levemir in the morning, you'll potentially still have some toujeo sloshing around. Can I ask what the reason was for changing to Toujeo in the first place if you were doing well on Levemir?

    no onions no garlic

Same here, I'm intrigued, and wondering why? Edited: just done a quick google and I assume it's Krishna? and interesting as to why, the allium family belong to the passion and ignorance categories, and therefore increase those 'attributes'.

Caught speeding whilst having a hypo

Oh the ironies in this post :playful: no you can't use a hypo as an excuse for being caught speeding :wacky::hilarious: and then being 'told off' for breaking the law by someone whos avatar is a motor bike rider with the name urbanracer :D:playful::hilarious: I believe the DVLA say if you are...
