    Gall bladder

Blood test, as mentioned above, also gave me an HbA1c of 35. So, this week's increased need for insulin may indicate some illness, somewhere!

    Gall bladder

The abdominal pains I have been having recently really indicate a gallbladder difficulty. I run with a GP who pointed out that there is not much, anatomically, where my pains are. Even less for me as I have quite a lot of bowel missing after cancer surgery. I also have some strange blood tests...

Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

Unfortunately, I fell over this morning whilst running with club. Quite a deep cut to left arm. I very quickly felt like a poor old man! Very handy to have a GP and practice nurse close by!

Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

23.09 parkrun this morning which didn't spike my BG. Work that out.

Anyone have any experience of type 1 and gall bladder difficulties?

    Diabetes and PIP benefit…

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of gall bladder difficulties and diabetes? I have had some typical symptoms and pain. I was instructed by 111 to call my GP - not seen one for a while. It was very obvious that the questions being asked where leading up to cholecystitis et al. After...

Where does a 48.30 10k come in exercise terms?

    Diabetes and PIP benefit…

But it's a strange condition. I have been, so far, very lucky. HbA1c of 37. BMI of 21.5. Half marathon of 1.57.11. 10k of 48.30. No retinopathy. No neuropathy. Cancer diagnosis and treatment recently but I recovered very quickly even though the type 1 rang a few alarm bells.

    Diabetes and PIP benefit…

Absolutely! Just being diabetic is nowhere near enough. I would score no points (and wouldn't want to).

    Diabetes and PIP benefit…

Can I make a claim? Type 1 for 57 years. But I did run a 48.30 10k at the weekend. We are all so different. Unfortunately, nowadays you really have to score lots of points to get PIP.

    Running

I always go high. Morning, afternoon, evening. Particularly if I am trying.

    Running

48.30 10k event at the weekend. Cancer clear, probably. I have agreed to an earlier than usual scan.

Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

Rest day today. I have still managed just over 15,000 steps. But did have a very nice lunch of olives and focaccia with a really good green tea at The Bicycle Shop.

Libre. But I checked it with meter. Not much difference.

Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

But as usual - started with BG of 7.3 and finished with just over 10. Slow run - 55 minutes.

Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

Just over 6 mile run with club. Croissant with cherries and quark post run. Homemade baguette for lunch - lots of carbs!

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

Yes. That's one of the reasons I like to keep mine low. It seems that there is more concerns regarding low blood sugars. It's been said to me that I must be hypo all the time - I'm not! It was also said that at my horribly advanced age I might fall down the stairs whilst hypo. Personal best at...

    Managing exercise and insulin

As for the mental side - I love mindless running! Not so easy on the bike - far more concentration required.

    Managing exercise and insulin

Parkrun always spikes my BG. Last 2 half marathons I managed with nothing to eat at all. Run many 10k's. Always spikes BG. But riding the bike, particularly for big mileages, less insulin and lots of food. Perhaps I am a cyclist and not a runner?
