Hi everyone, just started metformin 750 mg s/r this evening. I’m having a weird sensation in my feet like stabbing pains and they feel cold, is this a normal reaction?

I went into surgical menopause at 36. Developed severly high blood pressure at 40 due to this ive now developed t2. Everythings a knock on effect from the cancer and treatment. Im getting things earlier than normal ie bp etc because of it. Cancer didnt cause me to get diabetes .. its a series of...

The gp said avoid refined carbs.. is that basically everything white like bread rice ect..

Gp just rang and said i have t2 diabetes. Unlucky i guess but its a knock on effect from having cancer 7 years ago. I will be seeing diabetic nurse next week for my first appointment.... what can i expect from that appointment? He said it more than likely will be diet control and bloods every 3...

Steak gammon sausage lamb chop. Oven roasted tomatoes with garlic and olive oil and a poached egg. Had about 5 chips and some marrowfat peas.. bad choice [emoji848]

Not diagnosed yet..i was hoping for a diagnosis of pre diabetes. Been for bloods today hopefully get more answers tomorrow when gp rings with results. My blood sugars are all over the place. 9.8 and higher in morn. Just tested 2hrs after food and the level is 14.8.. ?

Long story short... went for bloods 22nd dec.. gp phoned said they were showing diabetic readings. Follow up bloods in 6 weeks. RAng me back xmas eve and said come into surgery for urine and blood sugar test.. (prick of finger). No ketones in urine blood 10.9. Now not waiting 6 weeks got to...
