Very similar to my situation..... Can i ask, what is the high hba1c level that would place people in high risk? My result 5 weeks ago was 91. I have lost over a stone since then and been on an improved diet but I don’t know what affect that has had overall. Not sure if I should be overly...

Hi! Thank you for your reply. I’ll check out that app, ok currently logging food with carbs & Cals app.... which has been good to monitor my intake. Newly diagnosed! Hi and help!

I’ve had a full day of testing. FBG: 9am -7mmol Pre food - 5.1 2hrs after food - 7.3mmol I was shocked by the last reading as I had some whole meal pasta with bolognaise. I was sure it would sky rocket my reading. anyway. One full day of testing done and those results don’t look too shabby to...

    Newly diagnosed! Hi and help!

hi Jo, great suggestions, thanks. Yes I’d better start getting creative with Greek yoghurt as it’s something I’ve avoided until now. Better face it head on! Coconut milk seems good but also some articles suggest it is bad for diabetics. Should I limit my intake? Thanks for your reply Jon

    Newly diagnosed! Hi and help!

So last week I’ve been focusing on diet so I’ve got it all logged. Mainly been eating eggs, smoked mackerel, Brazil nuts, avocados, chicken, bananas, salad. A few sweet potatoes fries. That’s about it. Had some baked beans but then saw the carb numbers so gave them up.
