New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

They send them out regardless. I'm thinking for 1 year I may sign up for that but then I will not use them if I don't want to, then I'll have a little supply of them at home for when I want them instead of constantly ordering

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

Apparently you were limited to two sensors at a time anyway. Annoying! Will just have to wait and see how long until they get more I guess

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

I've contacted them and I know another friend has spoken to a rep who has logged it. Seems there is a glitch. Use the contact form on the website to say what has happened and then I would think we'll get the vat back

Yes I speak to him on Twitter. He also reacts to his CGM sensors etc but has developed a method meaning he can use it. I have allergies too but thankfully my pump cannula is ok so I'm hoping this will be too, if not I'll try his method (using a tough pad as a barrier)

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

If you have full time use it appears there's a subscription option which delivers your sensors every quarter with no delivery charge. Website is annoying me though as I can't see how to sign up!

    Any tips on Insulin Pumps?

I have the Medtronic. If it's minute doses you're looking for then it certainly gives that! Bolus is in increments as low as 0.025 if you want (I use that!) and the temporary basal rates go down in 1% increments which I find useful. I can't comment on other pumps as I've only tried this one

    Finally gone live

It's not too bad. I can't basically test in my sleep these days haha I didn't mind it because I had always known Id have to and it was for a good reason!

    Finally gone live

Oh the luxury of a full nights sleep! I think the fear was for hypos/hypers overnight so double check until we knew we were all set up properly. They did have someone who went into DKA and had a fun hospital after not checking overnight a few weeks before I started, so they were very clear...

    Finally gone live

Ooooh Trinidad is nice. Not that you'll spend much time on the beach I assume! Were you not required to test every 2hrs overnight even if it wasn't a basal test? We were until the night basal tests were complete
