    Pump assessment

I've got minute insulin needs. I use a half unit pen but even then I can't correct sometimes because half unit drops me a lot. It's a catch 22! I've taken up running and I've had more hypos in the last 6 weeks than I did in the 6 months previous put together! Basal needs are minimal so I often...

    Pump assessment

Yes I've heard that too. My DAFNE nurse said Aberdeen (where I am) has had a big funding push right now so now was the time to ask for a pump. I might start the detailed food diary now then and use that to show I CAN and do carb count properly. Anything that will help my case. I "technically"...

How many strips do you get through a month?

I'm T1, test on average 5 times a day assuming no exercise, hypos or extra driving. I go through roughly 150 strips a month, I get 8 boxes of 50 a time so I get a good few months before I need to get more Blogging at drivendiabetic.wordpress.com

    Pedometer Challenge Thread

Woohoo new player! 10K is the recommended amount, but in a desk job I've mentally readjusted that to 5K. Personally I include my running because I don't go far. I think Andy excludes his (apart from once and he got 39,000 ish lol). I don't see why you shouldn't include it though, it's not a...
