We watched the film The Wicker Man last night. The ending was unexpected and very shocking. It has haunted me all day.

6.1 this morning. We had a lovely gentle amble around Gooderstone Water Gardens. Thank goodness that it was not to hot to take Bonnie there. Have spent the afternoon doing some admin and lesson planning and now am relaxing and reading.

5.8 this morning. A really busy, but enjoyable, day teaching. Finished at 6pm. There was such a lovely cool breeze coming through the open windows and fire door in my venue. I really need to relax and recharge now. Mr K is watering the garden. It is actually warmer now than earlier in the day.

5.5 this morning. Luckily not too much admin as the heat is making me feel really relaxed and I am working in slow motion. Probably slow motion is the best way to work in a heat wave. At the moment l am relaxing on.my recliner chair with a coffee.

6.1 this morning. Off to the podiatrist shortly for my 8 weekly visit. She is a friend so we will have a nice chst while she is sprucing up my feet. Looks like it will be a rather hot day here in central Norfolk. Luckily not as hot as in Europe.

@gennepher - that is so funny. I think class members would love a class like that. I hadn't noticed the typo.

5.4 this morning. The best reading I have had for absolutely ages. We are at the little village hall wheee i run my Wednesday morning classes. Mr K is taking Bonnie for a walk around the field while I relax here. I am being really sensible and gradually building up the walking after my calf...

Have just heard that sadly one of my very long time (around 20 years) class members has died of a brain aneurysm. Really sad as she had only just retired from work.

6.1 this morning. I wore out my old kitchen scales and have got a new one. It is actually better designed than the old ones with a much bigger display screen so I can see the numbers much more easily.

5.8 this morning. Classes went well and I had a lovely meal in the pub across the road. Am back in the hall and am relaxing before classes start again at 6pm. There is a lovely breeze blowing through the open windows and door.

5.5 this morning. We were going to Gooderstone Water Gardens this morning but decided against it because of the rain and instead visited a friend who keeps bees to buy some jars of local honey (for Mr K of course). Then we are spending the rest of the day just relaxing and recharging. Actually...

I really admire the Herculean effort you are making to deal with this extremely challenging situation @Lamont D . I do hope that you get some respite time so you can rest and recharge.

5.8 this morning. Amazingly still in the 5s after being in the 6s for so long. Have got a short break between classes so just enough time to post fbg.

Good that it has settled down @gennepher. Hopefully the weather settles down also. We had a much hotter day here than forecast Now it is very windy and quite chilly.

5.8 this morning. Had a huge pile of admin and amazingly I raced through it and finished by 3pm. So a nice relaxing break before classes start at 5pm. Bonnie is being such a good puppy and is playing with her toys next to me in the conservatory.

5.5 this morning. Got lots of work done this morning and am in Norwich now for classes. Have brought a fleece with me in case class members want air con on.
