    suggest me a competitive sport.

Not these days, I tend to use the erg more as a cross trainer to try and help prevent/manage injuries. I tend to be most active on the "runners who also erg" threads these days. Anything more than about 40 minutes gets complicated from a compettetiveness point of view as I need to stop and...

    suggest me a competitive sport.

Which team Anita? I'm nominally a Forum Flyer, but not a comptetive erger these days

    Test Strips for T1

I think you're being far too forgiving there. REmember the guidance from all directions that excercise is essential in BG management. If they don't give you the means to test and manage that ....

    The inevitable Cellnovo moaning thread

I've ditched the CellNovo and will be starting on the Insight on Monday. Too many propblems fo rme and I just couldn't rely on it. Most of the people who started at the same tiem as me at Addenbrookes have stopped using it and Addenbrookes are not supplying it at the moment. It's also an...

    Embarrassed

Ah, missed the response that I now see looking back, had assumed from the later responses that it was a mixed insulin . Will have a good read later adn see if I can add anything useful, but no guarantees

    Embarrassed

This one's beyond me I'm afraid as I've never used these mixed insulins. I was only diagniosed 18 months ago adn went straight onto Novorapid and Levemir.

    Test Strips for T1

I take my repeat prescriptions through an online system, which prevents you calling them off more often than once every 4 weeks, unless you call the surgery to ask specifically. I have no problem with that as I find that the 6x 50 strips lasts a month with a bit to spare, so I tend to put in...

    Test Strips for T1

That was kinda my argument too, especially when I I work away from home 3 weeks out of four, or this time of year more than that, and my pharmacy is only open Mon-Fri.

    Test Strips for T1

Thank you, no numbers in there, but certaintly does not suggest restricting on the basis of cost, in fact advocates exactly the approach I've taken with my surgery (three times)

Please help me get into the Paris marathon by doing a 3 second vote

Done, if you get sub-3 , that's a bloody good marathon. I'd be nearer 3:40 I think, maybe pushing 3:30.

    Test Strips for T1

Anyone know the NICE or Dept of Health guidelines on test strips for T1, or can provide a link? I'm writing a letter of complaint to my surgery and want to be clear before I do so. For info, the doctor I spoke to on Friday told me that their guideline was to prescribe one pot of test...

    am i cursed?

Didn't think they used that any more? I had the jab lasst year, not got round to it yet this year. Didn't have it in the winter of 2012/13, had a dose of flu in Feb 2013, that's what triggered the T1.

    Roche Insight Pump

But that all depends on usage and wastage. I'll be more economic if I can use a vial for 6 days, rather than the enforced 3 days in the CellNovo
