    Hello, all 3 of my children (age 7, 11 and 12) have now been diagnosed with Type 1. My daughter had a similar experience to yours but the boys bounced back quite quickly. Things did come right with my daughter though - there is such a lot to understand for everyone.

    I am the only non-diabetic in my house. My husband and 3 children are all type 1. Some nights I can be up and down like a yoyo! Can you explain to your husband how important waking you is if the alarm goes off? Good luck:)

    Yes a dodgy gene indeed!! I imagine being diagnosed when you were 15 would have been a lot to deal with - although I guess any age there is alot to deal with . Do you think there is a special bond between you and your brother because you are both diabetic?
