    Bit high tonight.

Your right but at the same time I there is a reason why the Atkins diet which is almost identical to the LCHF diet is discredited. I havent found my happy point yet so I am still variable one thing is for sure I am on a Low Carb diet in that I eat 100 carbs per day as a limit across all meals...

    Bit high tonight.

So if you don't eat veg what do you eat. I just think punishing people for not doing lchf is unfair . I believe there are other diets such as fasting or mixing. I do some lchf but also some potato's or a half bag (microwave) rice

    Bit high tonight.

But ur pancreas will give up anyway sooner or later and doing lchf can damage liver and kidneys which means u could end up with lchf complications

    Bit high tonight.

OK guys there's mixed thoughts on lchf that if u can damage kidney and liver and the NHS eatwell supports carbs I say split the difference aim for 100 carb limit and that way ur still low carving but also not going to be eating veg the rest of your life

What if blood sugar levels are a big lie?

pretty sure we all owe our lives here to Technology. Diabetes would not be cured if we didnt have technology. All doctors have an agenda and are curropt which is why I ended up with T2. But I also think sometimes they bluff.

    Whats the difference

Hi Folks, I have been reading about the Artifical Pancreas but how does it differ from the Pump. It appears the Pump is an older technology? But searching for them both on the internet yield the same device? My brother in law is T1 and he said that he does not like the pump but is waiting...

    Anyone Less than 40?

Hey Folks, It feels like I am kind of alone on this forum and having T2 at 29 seems rather young to me and I am in need of some encouragement perhaps a buddy / friend who we can encourage one another e.g. pen pals. I think having it at 29 means I will have it a very long time. How long have...

    Metformin vs Insulin

Just from what I've understood according to some on this form my Levels remain all within targets except really really bad stuffs and these I expect to exceed 8.1 within 30 minutes but after 2 hours there all down to around 5.6 again which from what I understand from some is either pre-diabetes...

Why cant I lower blood sugar

Your talking to the guy who has been on 2 Injections every 3 days for the last 6 months for other issues . I am not bothered by injections anymore heck an Insulin pen isnt anywhere near as big as some of the needles I have to put into me some of them really sting.

    Metformin vs Insulin

Hi Folks, Sounds like a ridiculous question but Metformin works on the Liver and Insulin provides additional stuffs to break down sugar. My big question is that why would the Doctor put you on a second pill that pushes the Pancreas to work harder thus burning it out vis using insulin to give...

Is it ok to cheat sometimes?

OK too many people are being unfair. Its not cheating its rewarding yourself lchf is a punishment of sorts as it totally changes your regular diet if you have a sweet tooth that's not fair of a disease to let it have its way. Do cancer sufferers lie down and take it no they don't. When u go...

I was diagnosed as Borderline 48 in May last year. And I did not take it seriously so I had a subsequent test in September with no noticable rise then one in January which went to 55. My Lipids / Liver and Kidney Functions are ok. My colestorol is a little high but LDL is 1.1. The Diabetic...
