And there's me giving away my breadmaker when I started low-carbing. I found something on Paleo with Mrs P, but I may be able to adapt this one. The pictures certainly look good. Thanks.

    World Carnivore Month 2020

A late entry to the month. We spent New Year in Fowey, Cornwall and splashed out on these two beauties from from the admirable Mr Kittow. Cooked rare in a bit of oil and basted with some good Cornish budder. Can't be beat! Edit. Apologies for the tease but the site won't let me upload the photo...

As for the beer - I hope you enjoyed it. I have been known to wander up to the local in the next village. Sadly the walk there and back has never offset the liquid carb intake. But I meet friends, get fresh air and try not to look at 8+ reading on the meter. Once a month is acceptable for me and...

Told not to do low carb!

When I went to my first diabetes meeting as a newbie, the photocopied handouts were so copied and copied they were blurred. I did, however read the date at the bottom of the original. It was in the 90's! I sat on my hands and didn't speak- even when they gave out tea and biscuits. No sweeteners...

"Edit for poorly disguised profanity." I should have used the real word! I would have felt better and you could have still enjoyed editing it. Now the members will have to guess which ancient Dorset terminology I used!! Edit for blame apportioning - It wasn't you, it was @Rachox !

    Quickie question and answer...

OK @DCUKMod, I’ll try it. I gently destroyed my first monitor in Rome, when it wouldn’t keep dates, made errors and generally ****** me off. That forced me to buy an Italian one for two weeks. I’ve replaced two prick sticks/lancing devices since then, so I’m up for something new. And yes, I’ve...

Sorry @alanj but my GP doesn’t understand why a T2 patient needs to self-test. So the chances of anything other than self-funding is remote!

Just met you @jomar_uk But i like already. I can't begin to offer helpful advice about low carb or exercise, with your circumstances, but I have a feeling that, if nothing else, your head is firmly screwed onto your broad shoulders, and you have the attitude to cope with this. Compared to what...
