    The perfect diet?

Cripes. Another thing to think about. Just when I thought I was doing so well. I expect I will always eat fibre simply because I have found fruit and veg in my diet to be something that seems to make me feel better.

    The perfect diet?

The recommended fibre intake is 30g per day although most people have 14g-18g. Having said that I have had a very dodgy stomach today after a whopping 37g of fibre. Not sure I want to go through that every day!

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi debrasue. Thanks for the tip. Something new I have learned about. I don't think I necessary need to go this far because I am finding I am getting into a nice rhythm of rotating different foods to make sure I give my body what it needs. On Saturday I had the pleasant surprise of being under...

    The perfect diet?

Myself and a colleague have just worked out that if you drink 8 pints of lager and have a channa dahl to eat plus a second meal of soft cheese with cucumber and tomatoes then you will have about 1800 calories, 114g carbs and 31g dietary fibre. Perhaps this is the way forward? :p

    Veg Dodgers!!

Haven't read all of this but the best way to cook veg is to stir fry. I add some fajita mix then melt cheese over after. Lovely. Normally veg adds a bit of fibre. For that I would suggest the humble lentil. 100g gives you something like 30g of fibre which is the recommended daily amount. Try...

Now that sounds great. Raspberries and cream is a great brekkie and a nice sirloin steak for dinner. I have to be honest and say that I have never heard of celeriac until I ventured on to this forum and would not know one if it whacked me in the eye. However, I may have to check it out. I have...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Raspberries are becoming my king of fruits. In fact I could be going to The Priory for an addiction to the little red menaces soon. Don't do broccoli/mushrroms/courgettes in salad stick 'em in the pan with the fajita chicken. Lush! In fact remove the chicken, do loads of veg and melt cheese over...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I'm glad you are going to give it a go on the small meals front. You end up thinking 'OMG! Is it time to eat again already!' I don't know what cals you are aiming at daily but with 2k being your average for a female then 1500 would be a good daily limit. that is five 300 meals a day. My 50g...

However, I came so mightily close (1st HBaC1 reading of 51 and the second at 47) that I am acting as though I was diagnosed. I have used info from this forum and learnt to read very carefully...

Hope you got the calorie count down, debrasue. I was fairly appalling the last 2 days and went over 2,000 cals. Today I simply switched to the 5:2 diet and have kept it to around 590 so far by eating nothing all day and having fahita chicken/mushrooms/onion with cheese melted over it followed...
