    Dexcom ONE+ free trial

Luckily I do have a Samsung, but the app warns against upfrading to Android 15. Hopefully they'll have sorted that by the next OS release as I don't intend to buy another, older phone just for that.

Interesting - I'll take a look at that. Thanks for sharing.

    Dexcom ONE+ free trial

Thanks! I just woke up to find my new Libre2 sensor had failed overnight so have ordered a replacement and have signed up for the free trial of the Dexcom One+. The 10-day sensor life is a bit of a shame though.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Did a traybake tonight: cheesy meatballs in a rich marinara tomato sauce. Added mushrooms and broccoli in the bake for colour and fibre. Added 6 small shallots. Total carbs about 7g. Trying hard not to eat the other half tonight

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Yes, that's it exactly! When you (I) have eaten the same way for decades I'm sometimes finding it quite hard to follow the new regime, so with an "Indian" meal it used to be a curry and naan, or chapati. Old habits die hard and I'm doing my best to kill 'em off quicker :)

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thanks! I had a look at both and I reckon i'll try and make the home-baked version. I can make "ordinary" bread so I'll enjoy the challenge with this one.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Made a fiery curry tonight, came out at 14g carbs. Excuse the presentation though ;) But, what I really need to know, is what can I have with it? I've looked longingly at naan, pitta (wholemeal and white) - is there anything bread-alike that you know of?

NHS 'Healthier You' Diabetes Prevention Programme

My GP got me onto a Second Nature course for my pre-diabetes . Been on it just over a week now and it seems ok. They sent me a free set of digital scales and a cookbook. I also have the support of a dietitian/coach and there's group chat. The emphasis is on balanced meals incorporating low carbs...

Celeriac - too ugly to stock (allegedly)

I heard that it has a slight celery-ish flavour, but I'll let you know tomorrow - it's Bratwurst and steamed celeriac for tonight's meal.

Bratwurst: a low-carb sausage: is it ok?

Have to admit that in my pre-pre-diabetes days I was a major fan of Bratwurst. Browsing in Sainsburys today I see that they're 0.8g carbs per sausage, so I bought a pack. Are these ok as far as pre/diabetics are concerned? (I know the fat's a bit high)

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thanks! I'm still getting the hang of all this and got some Diablo sugar-free retro sweets from Amazon : similar sweetener composition. I'll try a bar this weekend and see how it goes.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi @Rachox, I see you mention these quite a lot - would you see a bar as a lunchtime meal replacement? I'm looking to vary my options a bit as my daily schedule can be a bit reactive at the moment...

Celeriac - too ugly to stock (allegedly)

:happy: The mind boggles at the thought of such a thing! Mind you, if I can find a celeriac wine recipe you could be into something!

Celeriac - too ugly to stock (allegedly)

Maybe it's a regional thing - I'll nip to Sainsburys tomorrow - I want that tasty vegetable!

Celeriac - too ugly to stock (allegedly)

Having tried and failed to buy celeriac at local supermarkets I decided to try a proper grocer that sets up his stall here 3 days a week. No luck. Apparently he's had them in the past but no-one wants to buy them, mainly because they're ugly(!) and also "too difficult to prepare". He did get one...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It is! Especially the stuff they serve to the patients - they try though. Yes! Even though I've lived in my body for over 60+ years it still has the capacity to surprise me...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Well, what a surprise - I found myself in the local hospital restaurant today while doing my carer role. I hadn't had time to pack a proper lunch, so I had to rummage through the carb-fest that was on offer and finally plumped for a cheddar cheese 'n pickle on white bread as it was the lowest...
