    Read the posts on low carb, it's not that hard to make the change, and if your surgery will not allow you to view your test results change surgeries, it is so imoortant to be able to monitor your numbers and interpret them as a whole

    If I remember correctly my initial HBA1c was around 80, the "specialist" nurse told me not to bother testing, I ignored her and bought my own meter. The next test results showed I had dropped to 51 so I foolishly stopped testing and guess what my results went back up to 60. So now I test...

    I was started on 40mg of atorvastatin, and once I got my cholesterol under some sort of control, I asked the surgery to reduce to 20mg. Today had another blood test with a view to reduce down to 10mg, also started getting shoulder and upper arm pains so the sooner I can get these statins right...
