Issue with Libre - blank screen

Can you get through to the Bluetooth screen on the app? Took me a while to figure out how to get started, but need to get to the Bluetooth screen (Bluetooth symbol at bottom of app Home Screen), then click on the + to select CGM then Freestyle 2 and then scan your sensor. Mine wouldn’t scan...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Have you tried the reinstallation video and using Shuggah app if this fails so you can at least have access to CGM? Scroll back through the thread for instructions.

Issue with Libre - blank screen

I currently have mine connected successfully to both since yesterday afternoon! After some initial issues with loss of sensor signal, I now seem to be getting the Libre real time readings and alarms despite fact that I’m still on existing sensor and haven’t started a new one. But it seems that...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Although reinstalled app successfully it unfortunately doesn’t seem to be working properly for me. Saying ‘sensor error’ every few minutes and then the message about sensor readings being unavailable for 10 minutes. Perhaps it will settle when I start a new sensor but otherwise will need to be...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

I’ve fixed my Libre app using the instructions…BUT just to let you know it’s reading a full 2mmol differently to Shuggah!! Interesting. Don’t have access to my traditional blood sugar monitor at moment to check, but suspect the Libre is the more accurate one going purely on how I feel/what I...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Likewise, thanks for tip - didn’t know Shuggah existed but now have my peace of mind back. And think I actually prefer it - great not to have to scan every time to get a current reading!

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Scary, isn’t it, how reliant we’ve all become on this technology! I did find my pricker and found earlier then blood sugar was 16mmol!!!! I’m usually 85%-90% TIR on sensor over 7 days, shows what a huge difference it’s made and how I wouldn’t want to be without it now.

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Ah, thanks v much will try that! I do have a reader as well phone (supplied by manufacturers for free last time they messed up ) but it won’t read my current sensor. Will have to insert another one and start it with reader, which is a waste of the 8 days left on this one but at least I have the...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Exactly the same here with my iPhone. Blank screen since this morning. Really don’t want to try deleting and reinstalling app as I’m due at diabetes clinic for first time in 8 months next week and don’t want to lose all my precious data to show them

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Hi David - each to their own, of course, but here is my time in target for last 7 days. Personally I don’t think there’s much wrong with these numbers, but understand why people like to run on the slightly higher side if it’s a choice between slightly high or slightly low. Also takes a lot of...

    Mastering Diabetes

it does work, I’ve been doing it on and off for a while and seriously (I’ve signed up for the coaching programme) for the last 2-3 months. Just got my A1C of 5.4%. Appreciate the approach may not suit everyone. I’ve been vegan for almost 20 years anyway and the MD diet is closely aligned with...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Thanks! I decided to email screenshots of CGM time in range to the GP today in the end to try to get in first before the complaint comes my way fingers crossed

    Complications 15 years after diagnosis?

After getting bloods done everything has come back normal, including B12 and thyroid which I thought might be reasons for burning feet. And A1C 5.4% the best I’ve ever managed! So that’s all reassuring. Am due at diabetes clinic in October so will see what consultant has to say…

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Just got a lifetime best of 5.4% yesterday! So pleased. My CGM says 4% time spent low over last 90 days, so I’m reassured the result is not due to hypos. Mind you, I’ve now to convince my GP of this as she was gunning for me and my driving licence at the start of the year as I was registering...

Self-management of Type 1 in hospital?

I have to say that I’ve been in hospital in London s few times for a couple of days and it’s been horrific. Been put on insulin drip which effectively removed any control I had over my blood glucose. Obviously still had my tester so knew I was completely out of range but couldn’t do anything...

How to get a Half unit pen

I was given a half unit pen at my diabetes clinic when I was diagnosed as I also have ratios of around 15:1-20:1. It’s great, I couldn’t imagine needing to manage with a full unit one. It was just lying around in the clinic, apparently for children? Unfortunately after 15 years it’s starting to...

    Complications 15 years after diagnosis?

Thanks so much for your helpful posts and encouragement. I went and got annual blood tests etc. yesterday at GP that I’d been putting off for a few weeks, so let’s see whether they throw up anything…wondering about B12, for example, with the feet. Really appreciate you taking the time to...
