    Question about inductions

Hi 4lgd to add to what Azure said I was told diabetics are at higher risk of still birth or other complications so once baby is full term (37 weeks) there is no reason to leave baby and longer they do higher the risk becomes! Also diabetics tend to have bigger babies (hence growth scans) but...

T1, honeymoon, Pregnant, potential RH, off insulin....where to begin...?!

Hi Erin not sure about the RH but in regards to lows I've always been advised anything below 4 is low and in regards to driving the DVLA say your bloods should not be below 5 so sugars in the 2's is definitely low! I wouldn't worry too much about resistance as everyone seems to be different...

    Got my induction date!

Hi Claire, I was induced in Jan at 38 weeks. I was induced at 2pm on the Monday and contractions started at 5pm - they were small at first like period pains didn't really start to intensify until the following day! Once in active labour I was put on a sliding scale which was actually a blessing...

    Bump arrived early

Congratulations! If your breastfeeding make sure to have something to treat hypos close to hand as I found I get hypoing whilst feeding! Also although advised to go back to pre pregnancy ratios I actually had to reduce both my fast acting and background insulin doses as I was still hypoing! Good...

    Pregnancy with type 1

Hi katieeeb welcome to the forum! It's worrying that they say they won't monitor you until 12 weeks! As soon as I fell pregnant o started having weekly calls with the diabetic midwife where I would give her all my blood sugar readings for the prev week and then we would discuss if we thought any...

    Late pregnancy highs and hypos

Hi Elliebug I am currently 37+5 and my hypos have started to increase since 34 weeks - apparently this is quite common in later pregnancy due to change in hormones! Just need to be careful - it can also be a sign placenta is failing! I found best way to prevent these is to have a small snack...
