    I'm impressed Polgara - very inspirational! Maintaining is so hard. Sorry to hear about your pond incident - you were lucky not to hurt yourself!!! I taught nursery for years so I know exactly how hard work new starters are - good luck!!!

    Good morning Goonergal & well done! Enjoy your birthday weekend [emoji324][emoji5] I've weighed in as 109.7 kg, having completed 5 days if the blood sugar diet. That's down from 114.2 kg on Sunday. Got a long way to go, but feeling so much better in myself and really motivated.

    Type 2 newly diagnosed

    Also newly diagnosed, that's really helpful start-out info, thank you. My GP suggested the 8 week blood sugar diet as I'm significantly overweight too so seems a good idea to try.

    Diagnosed Dec 17 & weighed in at 114 kg - bit of a kick required to take action! Dr suggested I try the 8 week blood sugar diet & loaned me the book - started on Sunday so will see how it goes - will weigh in again on Friday. Thanks all for positive comments , it's a real encouragement.

    Don't involve yourself in the blame game.

    I think the point was to remind us all that no matter how we got to be type 2 isn't important, it's how we face the situation, & blaming yourself won't help - be positive and do whatever you can to try to manage the condition.
