when I was diagnosed with type 2 6 years ago I was 23 stone and put on metformin when I cut out the sugar (coke and in coffee) I went down to 9 and a half within 12 months not good if your worried see your doc or dietitian and voice your concerns

I have noticed a lot of people saying that they are either paying for prescriptions or monitors and strips I was under the impression that as this is a life long condition it's free. I live in Aberdeen and get anything related to diabetes free except hypo treatments????? Willie

spoken to 3 different docs 5 times and my diabetes nurse twice and nothing. I'm used to working in busy restaurants and just now can barely walk for more than 10 mins without the pain becoming to much. but least my kids find it cool as I'm with them more

sorry admin but agree with the majority it should be primarily about medical i.d not the site. Why not offer t-shirts, mugs etc to promote something which I have and am sure many others have found an amazing thing. Thankyou

Re: Metformin Side Effects When I was on metformin it badly affected my stomach to the point where I couldn't be far away from a toilet for very wrong I found it very horrible good luck

fine with most of it except the pain and having to use needles but at least I ain't dead
