    Morning tests

Thanks Ziggy that was really helpful. You say above that the morning test helps to monitor improving liver condition. Is there a correlation between your test result and liver health? Please understand I'm not challenging I know literally nothing about this so I might be asking utterly stupid...

    Morning tests

Dear all Apologies I'm sure this will have been covered elsewhere but I'm struggling to find it. Regarding daily BS tests. Other than my first day (and today) I've been avoiding taking readings first thing in the morning. This was really to save lancets/strips because I didn't have many...

    Baking and Cooking

I sympathise, I'm very new too, only diagnosed around two weeks weeks ago. The thought of not being able to bake at the weekend is depressing. I've bought some coconut flour and will be trying the pancake recipe on dietdoctor.com. I just hope over the long term I might be able to 'bake'...

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Thanks so much, I haven't succumbed to any carb cravings. I just hadn't imagined the tiredness could be so debilitating. My BS has been between 4.4 -5.7 today. I'll read up on false hypo's now. I didn't feel shaky or anything just completely out of energy.

Thanks I probably haven't been drinking enough. I don't find that easy/natural but I'll keep at it.

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Weakness - this morning after doing a few minor chores I was overwhelmed with a sense of weakness. Like walking upstairs left me needing to sit down. My BS before a late lunch was 5.6 and two hours later 5.7 which is normal right? I had a walk in-between which did help but now I'm feeling a...

Thanks everyone I managed to get a meter test this morning for the first time. Reading was 7mmol, let's see how it is before/after lunch today.

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Thank you I easily had that much, I suspect I just need a bit more for the meter I have. Thanks so much for posting though and especially for the image.

Inulin not Insulin. It's fibre to hopefully help one's bowels along.

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Your advice was perfect, I just needed a visual idea of how much was required. I'll aim for a raindrop next time. Thanks again, it's sincerely meant

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Thank you so much, that was helpful. I am doing a similar fast time, circa 16:8 so I don't eat until lunchtime and usually just eggs & ham. I will try to drop lower than 30g carbs but I really do need the veg for digestive purposes although I'm trying some inulin in my water to help with that. I...

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Thank you so much,' a raindrop worth' that's what I needed to know. I tried three times but I'm leaving it until tomorrow now I'm too harassed just now. My lancet is set to number three and I tried my thumb, index finger and middle finger. Thanks for the links.

    Need help - feeling pathetic

Dear all I was diagnosed T2 about 10days ago. My GP and nurse are worse than useless and told me I don't need a meter and to have porridge every day and avoid fat & sugar. Literally that's all the support I've been offered. Anyway having read on here about the value of testing before/after...
