    EMERGENCY

If I were you I'd just keep on monitoring. I'd still take some Novorapid just reduce the doses. As for doing two injections of lantus, dobt best yourself up about it. It happens. I usually do my levemir just before bed. If I'm tired I often doubt myself and can't remember whether I've taken it...

    EMERGENCY

Just test regularly and make sure you have plenty if glucose to hand. Your sugars will probably be a little unstable the next day or two but you'll be fine. Been there, done that (well levemir rather than lantus) and lived to tell the tale. Try not to worry too much xx

Change in Retinopathy - Should I worry?

Jojo, That's great that you're trying to get your hba1c down. One thing you should bare in mind, though, if your control suddenly improves your retinopathy may get worse. Just something to bear in mind so you don't get a shock if there are further changes on your next test done. Might be worth...

    DILEMMA

Hi Yvonne, When I was a teenager my hormones played havoc with my diabetes. I would have random highs and lows and it became a bit of a nightmare to manage. The diabetes team were forever adjusting my insulin. I found that I would have a crazy period (anything from a couple of weeks to a few...

    Type 1 with Hair loss

Poorly controlled diabetes can cause your hair to thin. This happened to me when I was first diagnosed. Doesn't sound like this is what's happening to your mum though. Sounds more like alopecia - I'd ask her doctor about this as it sounds suspiciously like it. Emma

Diabetic scuba divers, any practical experience

Fair enough. I wanted to try scuba diving while on holiday. The guy that told me I couldn't go wasn't the sharpest tool on the box, hence it felt a little patronising. In fact I'm pretty sure he was getting diabetes and asthma mixed up!

    Sugar in urine

That's very high. Get them down ASAP and then see if you still have the bubbles. I'd also recommend taking a urine sample to the doctors with you - an early morning one. If some of the levels (microalbumin, I think) is out of the normal range it could cause similar symptoms. Hope the appointment...
